This is by far one of my most favorite things in our house. We had been wanting to do this for a long time, but it took us a while to find the perfect door to use. We had looked around some of the antique shops down the street from our house, as well as Craigslist, but nothing was PERFECT. Either the size was wrong or we didn’t like the colors.
Then, one day I’m at an antique store to buy Annie Sloan clear wax and I spied this door in the corner! I took the measurements, texted them to my husband, and BOOM it everything we wanted! I loaded that door into my Jeep and took it home ASAP.
See how perfectly it fit into the corner of our dining room!
I’m gonna need you to come to my house and be my interior decorator…..pronto!! This looks Fabulous!!! Does your hubby do all of the building?

Thank you so much 🙂 He does do all of the handy work! I actually had no idea he was capable of doing all of this when we got married, so this is such a pleasant surprise! And that’s totally my new dream job, haha.

That’s awesome! Very creative mind. I mean an old door is used to be thrown, but you give us a useful idea. It’s possible that it could be shelving unit.

Thank you, Emily! Lately I’ve been trying to think of more ideas of how I can recycle certain goods to give them a new life! Thank you for checking out my blog 🙂
